# What is Investi?

> Investi is an AI investment studio: a research workspace where an AI analyst, live market data, and your own notes work together.

Investi is an AI investment studio: a workspace where you research companies with an AI analyst, real market data, and your own notes, organized the way you think. What Cursor did for software, Investi does for investing.

## The idea

Serious investment analysis used to require analysts, terminals, and expensive data. Frontier AI models can now read filings, follow earnings calls, and reason through a thesis, but intelligence alone is not enough. It needs a harness: context, memory, workflow, and a connection to your actual research. Investi is that harness.

## What makes it different

  <Card title="No opinions baked in">
    The analyst starts unopinionated. Investi does not decide how you should invest. When you want a philosophy, you install it deliberately through skills: opt-in, visible, and removable.

  <Card title="You stay in control">
    The analyst never rewrites your notes silently. Proposed changes arrive as a diff you approve or reject, and its reasoning and data stay visible so you can check its work.

## The studio at a glance

The studio is a single workspace with three panels: an explorer for your companies, notes, skills, and connected tools on the left; your open tabs in the middle; and the analyst chat on the right.

* **[The AI analyst](/analyst/chat)**: ask questions, reference companies with `$` and notes with `@`, and watch it reason over real financial data.
* **[Company dashboards](/company/dashboards)**: price, financial statements, earnings and transcripts, holders, analyst estimates, and news, one tab per company.
* **[Notes and folders](/organize/notes)**: keep your theses next to the data they reference and organize coverage your way.
* **[Skills](/skills/overview)**: reusable workflows that teach the analyst your process.
* **[MCP integrations](/integrations/mcp)**: connect your own tools and data sources for the analyst to use.

<Note>
  Investi is a research tool, not investment advice. AI can be wrong. The product is built so you can verify its work, and you should.
