The analyst lives in the right panel of the studio. It is the AI you talk to about markets, companies, and your own research. It answers from live financial data and from what is already in your workspace, and it shows its work.

What it can see and change

Sees

Already in front of it

Your folders, companies, and notes, without you pasting them. A connected brokerage too. Questions like “which of my companies reported this week?” work because the workspace is already there. It also looks up financials, quotes, transcripts, news, and anything from a connected MCP server.

Changes

Only after you approve

Nothing on its own. When it wants to edit a note, write or edit a skill, or create a monitor, it proposes the change and waits. You review a diff and approve or decline it. A connected portfolio is read-only.

An MCP server is a source of tools or data you plugged in. It is not a process the way a skill is.

How you talk to it

Type a question in the composer. When you want to pin something into this message, use a mention. Mentions are for pointing, not for unlocking access.

What you can ask

Research is the obvious use. You can also ask it to do workspace work, then review the proposal.

Research

How has ‘s data center revenue trended over the last 8 quarters, and what did management say about it on the latest call?

A thesis

Given , does the latest quarter support or weaken the thesis?

A skill

Turn the checks you just ran into a skill I can reuse on the next earnings print.

A monitor

Check every weekday at 7am and flag anything that touches a thesis.
Asking it to write a skill or a monitor is a normal question. The draft still goes through approval.

Asking a question

Type into the composer at the bottom of the chat panel and press Enter to send; Shift+Enter starts a new line. The placeholder is a reminder of the three triggers:
Ask your analyst… $ for tickers, @ for context, / for skills
Each trigger renders as its own colored chip. See Mentions for how each one works.
Composer with colored company, context, and skill mention chips

Reading the answer

The analyst shows its work rather than just producing text.

Thinking

Reasoning as it works, so you can follow the logic.

Tool calls

A lookup the analyst made. Open the pill to see financials, a transcript, or data from a connected MCP server.

Subagents

A built-in specialist it sends out for a noisy job. Their work nests inside the conversation. See Subagents.

Approvals

A proposed edit. Nothing lands until you say so. See Approving changes.

Investi is a research tool, not investment advice. AI can be wrong. The product is built so you can verify its work, and you should.
