SCREENSHOT: the MCPs view with a connected server and its exposed tools expanded
Connecting a server
Open MCPs in the left navigation.- From the catalog
- By URL
Select Browse MCP servers for one-click connections to research sources such as EDGAR (SEC filings), clinical trials and openFDA data, CoinGecko, Alpha Vantage, Similarweb, and web-search tools like Exa, Firecrawl, and Tavily.
Authentication
Each connected server shows a status: Connected, Needs auth, or Error (with detail underneath).- For OAuth servers, select Authenticate: you sign in with the provider and return to Investi with the connection live.
- For API-key servers, use the edit (pencil) icon to open the server’s JSON config and add headers, for example
"Authorization": "Bearer <your-key>". Test the connection, then Save.
Managing servers
- Expand a connected row to see the tools the server exposes.
- The trash icon disconnects a server entirely (connections are enabled or disabled per server, not per tool).
- Renaming a server changes its
/slug in chat, so old mentions of the previous name stop resolving.
